So, for their wedding anniversary, he paid to have someone come in and clean for a year once every other week. Boy, this was such a treat for his wife, and she always looked forward with excitement coming home to a clean, great smelling and spotless home. One year turned into about three years, and after she cut back on her hours at work, she strongly hinted to her husband to cut cost on expenses and the luxury of having someone to clean their home. She really didn’t want to stop the cleaning, so she told Jim to ultimately make the decision, but Jim said the decision was hers because it was her gift.
Jim wanted to continue the cleaning as a gift, but also to make sure he lessened the stress on his wife, “He knows how stressed his wife can get.” After some time, Jim made the decision to stop the cleaning, and told his wife that after the first sign of her stressing out he was going to resume the cleaning again. His wife said ok and said, “Wow…you are taking charge; I like that!”
Women are very intelligent, driven and highly capable of taking care of themselves and others as is demonstrated again and again in many households.
